2009

The Grand Opening

Founders Marco and Elena Rivera opened the first Cafe Rio location on 296 West Street with just 8 tables, a core menu of 20 dishes, and an unshakeable passion for honest, delicious food.

2012

First Industry Recognition

Cafe Rio received its first regional "Best New Restaurant" award, validating the team's dedication to quality. The recognition brought a new wave of loyal customers and inspired an expanded menu.

2015

Kitchen & Menu Expansion

After years of growing demand, we tripled our kitchen capacity and expanded our menu to over 80 items including our legendary weekend brunch, wood-fired specialties, and an extensive craft beverage program.

2018

Catering & Events Launch

We launched our full-service catering division, bringing the Cafe Rio experience to weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations across the United States. Our catering team has since served over 500 events.

2021

Digital Ordering Platform

We launched our online ordering system, making it easier than ever for customers to enjoy Cafe Rio from the comfort of home. Our digital menu now features 120+ items with real-time availability updates.

2024
